Olly Winder (b. 2002) is a London based British artist who works across new media, painting and installation to examine the mediation between attraction and repulsion that shapes and fractures internet-driven identities. Taking into account an array of anxieties relating to masculinity, violence and online paranoia, his work originates from neurotic and conflicting emotions driven by obsessive content consumption and radical perspectives intensified by the internet.
He often merges a variety of contemporary iconographic cultural artefacts, from ASMR, YouTube slop and online fetish videos to western esotericism, techno-capitalism and incel subcultures. Resulting in a range of manufactured and performed perspectives and feelings.
